Congratulations to John Samuelson from the Trebol U14 White team! He was named to the 01 Olympic Development Program team that represents Colorado.
A message from John's Trebol coach Josh Shemroske:
John is a fantastic keeper. He makes saves that many people just assume are goals, yet somehow John finds a way to get to the ball and keep it out. John is one of the best shot blocking keepers I have ever seen. He is very resilient, usually popping right back up after making acrobatic aerialist type saves. John has precise distribution and prefers to use his hands to keep possession. When a long ball is needed John clears half field with ease off the punt. One specific game, John made two breakaway saves in the first half, a feat worthy of recognition. He continued his dominate performance by holding the shootout in the second half, including another breakaway stop, to allow us a last minute goal for the win. That victory alone propelled our team out of Classic 2, up to Classic 1, which is where we now compete. John is a team captain and leads by example. Congrats, John, on making the Colorado ODP team. Your team is proud and supports you.
