Trebol Soccer Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that is dedicated to offering the opportunity to play club soccer to all youth in the community. Because Trebol Soccer Club's mission is to provide an opportunity for families of all ethnic, racial or economic background to pursue an interest in soccer, our Scholarship Program was established. Trebol prides itself on attaining its mission to offer affordable fees for its participating families.
Application Process
A player may apply for a scholarship during the annual registration period and/or at the beginning of the spring season. All applicants must complete the Trebol Soccer Club (“TSC”) Scholarship Application. This scholarship application is considered complete when the application has been completed, signed, and is accompanied by the application fee and a photocopy of documentation needed to meet scholarship criteria. The TSC Scholarship Committee reviews all applications confidentially.

Partial (50%) Scholarship Request
Application Fee:
There is a mandatory $75 application fee.
Criteria to Qualify:
Partial scholarships are available to families who meet the following criteria or who have been able to demonstrate an extenuating circumstance of need as determined by the Scholarship Committee. Documentation will need to be provided before application can be processed.

Uniform:
Player is financially responsible for obtaining his/her own uniform.
Final Payment:
If you are approved for a 50% scholarship, you are responsible for paying 50% of that player's membership dues. (Example: Fee=$440. Applicant is responsible for half of that fee which is $220 for full year membership; however, the remaining balance is reduced by the pre-paid $75 application fee. Amount due would be $145.) The balance remaining on a partial scholarship is due 30 days after notification of award.
Full (100%) Scholarship Request
Application Fee:
There is a MANDATORY scholarship application fee. Payment of this fee must be included with the application or be received the by the Trebol office before the application is considered complete. There are two application fee options from which a family may choose.
Option I: $75 per Family
Trebol Soccer Club will attempt to provide a used uniform for the player(s). This uniform belongs to TSC and will need to be returned to TSC when it is no longer in use by the player(s). If a used uniform may not be obtained by TSC for use by the player(s), it is the financial responsibility of the family to provide all necessary required elements of the uniform.
Option II: $75 per Individual
Trebol Soccer Club will provide a new uniform (if necessary) for the player on the application. This uniform will belong to the player. A separate application must be filled out for each player seeking a scholarship.
Criteria to Qualify:
100% Scholarships are available to families who meet one of the following. Proof in the form of a copy of the award letter or card will need to be provided before application will be approved.
- Food Stamps/SNAP
- Supplemental Social Security Income (S.S.I. or S.S.D.)
- W.I.C. recipients
- Section 8 or Public Housing
- Medicaid recipients
- Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+)
- Free Lunch Program
- Service connected Disability Compensation
Fee Waiver
Under special circumstances the Scholarship Application Fee may be waived by TSC. This decision needs to be noted on the application and communicated to the TSC Treasurer.
Not Included
Regardless of whether a player is on a 50% or 100% scholarship, the player is financially responsible for any optional clinic fees or any tournament fees. Scholarship grants only apply to a player’s membership dues, uniforms, practice and game fees as noted above and in the application.
Notification
Applicants will be notified of the scholarship award via U.S. mail, phone call, or email. If notification is mailed, it will be mailed to the address provided on the scholarship application. Applicant must notify the scholarship committee via U.S. mail, phone call, or email to confirm acceptance.
Final Payment
The balance remaining on a partial scholarship is due 30 days after notification of award.
Duration
Scholarships may be awarded on an annual basis for both fall and spring soccer seasons or either fall or spring depending upon the player’s age group and need as determined by the TSC Scholarship Committee.
Retention and Remedies
A club member who is playing for Trebol Soccer Club on Scholarship needs to attend practices, games, and mandatory clinics out of respect for the club, his/her team, and the sport of soccer. TSC reserves the right to revoke any scholarship player’s membership and request that such player return his/her uniform to TSC if such player fails to uphold this commitment at a level of 90% or greater. Prior to revoking a player's membership, representatives from TSC shall give reasonable notice to such player and give such player an opportunity to meet the 90% participation requirement.
