Why Choose Trebol Soccer Club? |
Since Trebol’s inception in 1995, the club has been dedicated to providing inclusive and affordable soccer in Boulder County. Last year, Trebol’s Board of Directors revised the mission statement:
“To establish and maintain an inclusive and competitive youth soccer program(s) for young people, and to provide an opportunity for families of all ethnic, racial, or economic background to pursue an interest in soccer and to develop ideals of fun, sportsmanship, and global citizenship.”
Fulfilling Trebol’s mission has paid great dividends. The club has steadily grown to more than 500 players and 30 teams participating in ages from U9 through U18. Competition varies from developmental/recreation to highly competitive premier-level teams. The Trebol Soccer Club is dedicated to providing quality soccer training in a positive environment to all youth in the Boulder area, and believes that absolutely no child should be prevented from playing soccer due to financial hardships. Therefore, the Trebol Soccer Club offers scholarships to families on a financial need basis.
Whatever the level your child plays with Trebol, the important thing to know is that the club offers an uncompromising commitment to the development of every child on and off the field!
10 Reasons Why Trebol is Changing Youth Soccer, One Player at a Time!
1. The Trebol Soccer Club’s uncompromising commitment to Boulder County and the development of every child, on and off the field. Trebol ensures that each boy and girl learns the values of playing sports, develops his or her soccer skills, and understands the importance of working hard to be successful in soccer and in life. Trebol works closely with each child to make sure that each player is placed in an environment that will enable him or her to excel.
2. Trebol offers the best coaching in Boulder County for all ages and playing abilities. Trebol’s coaches are carefully selected based on the level of competition and development of the team. The competitive coaches have extensive soccer playing and coaching experience, while the developmental coaches are selected to help nurture and develop the players.
3. The Trebol Soccer Club’s affordable fees make it possible for families to participate in a great soccer experience when compared to alternatives in the Boulder area. Fees for competitive teams are under $700, for a full year of soccer, and fees for developmental teams are comparable with all soccer clubs in Colorado and Boulder County.
4. Trebol is committed to being an inclusive soccer club. The Boulder County community is a mixture of families from all ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds. Trebol embraces the idea that everyone has the opportunity to play for the local soccer club, and it encourages participation through outreach programs, scholarships and community partnerships.
5. The Trebol Soccer Club listens to the parent and the players. Trebol’s coaches and staff are always available if there are questions or concerns. Trebol knows this and is committed to being there when that time comes. Please call or e-mail the staff; we look forward to helping you!
6. Trebol provides professional soccer training for players of all ages and levels of play. Pancho Hansen, coaching director, works with all the boy’s competitive teams. In addition, professional trainers work with the girl’s competitive and intermediate teams and holds weekly training for all U9 and U10 teams.
7. The Trebol Soccer Club hosts the annual Colorado Shootout. The Colorado Shootout is one of the largest competitive tournaments in the Rocky Mountain region. Held at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, the Colorado Rapids world-class training and competition facility, the Colorado Shootout anticipates having more than 200 participating teams this year. All of Trebol’s competitive teams are encouraged to participate in the tournament.
8. Trebol is a community-based soccer club. Each year, Trebol’s families are encouraged to volunteer their time for Boulder County community activities including, Louisville’s Adopt-a-Park program and a Lafayette’s Sister Carmen Community Center food drive. Trebol also partners with the I Have A Dream Foundation and local elementary schools to promote community support through playing youth soccer. All families also volunteer for Trebol’s Colorado Shootout. Last year, more than 300 individuals volunteered for the three-day extravaganza.
9. As a member of the Colorado Youth Soccer (CYS), Trebol is one of six clubs that has agreed to participate in the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) program. Bad sportsmanship exhibited by coaches, parents and players is a national epidemic. The Trebol Soccer Club has partnered with the PCA through the CYS to help the coaches, parents and players understand the value of good sportsmanship. Every Trebol player and parent is required to sign a PCA pledge prior to their participation in the club.
10. Trebol’s developmental program is the finest in Boulder County. Trebol’s U9 and U10 programs offer special skills development and circuit training, once a week. Along with their highly-qualified coaches, U9 and U10 players participate in the Flatiron Quadrant and the CYS Option 1 leagues. The leagues provide Trebol’s players with a decided edge during their early soccer years.
