- Pancho Hansen - Coaching Director
Pancho is native of Huehuetan, Chiapas, Mexico.He played soccer professionally in Mexico in 1976 and 1977. He was a professional member of Futbol Sala from 1978-82.He received his “A” license certification from the Mexican Futbol Federation and coached for the Chalco professional team and Ibero Americana College.
In 1988 he moved to Lafayette, Colorado and worked for the City of Lafayette as a recreational youth soccer instructor. From 1991 to 1996 he was coaching Guadalajara Soccer Club in Denver, Colorado. e currently is the instructor for Lafayette’s youth and adult recreational programs. During that time, Pancho founded Lafayette’s Pee Wee soccer program for kids ages 4-5 and Tiny Tyke program for kids three years old.
Pancho founded Trebol Soccer Club in 1995 and has continued to serve as the club’s Coaching Director since this time. He is a “C” licensed coach with USYSA.

Scott Scheifele - Executive Director
Scott has been involved in athletics at some level all his life, as a player, coach and administrator. Prior to his work with Trebol Soccer Club, he worked with the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County as Director of Development.
The majority of his professional athletic experiece was at the University of Colorado where he spent 19 years culminating his career as Associate Vice President for Athletic Development. During that time, he was responsible for the planning, implementation and management of all athletic development initiatives. He has extensive background in managing a sophisticated development program, including major gift giving, planned giving, capital campaign work and annual giving.
Scott has been a coach for youth soccer, basketball and baseball. He also has played soccer, baseball, and competed in gymnastics and track at the youth level. As a volunteer, Scott has been a member of the Boulder Rotary Club, Shining Stars (a foundation that provides outdoor athletic opportunities for kids with life-threatening diseases), Boulder County Latina Women’s League and most recently was volunteer president for Trebol Soccer Club. Scott currently serves on Colorado Youth Soccer’s Tournament Committee and Field Foundation Committee.
- Karen Logan - Club Manager
Karen, a Boulder County native, has worked with kids and soccer for nearly 15 years. Starting as a volunteer for the City of Lafayette Pee Wee Soccer program in 1993 she now is youth sports supervisor for the city. Karen assisted in developing the Lafayette’s Pee Wee and Tiny Tyke program.
As Youth Sports Supervisor for the City of Lafayette she oversees youth sports programs, recruitment, training, league organization, camp organization and coaching. The Lafayette Recreation programs have 600 kids participating in soccer and 550 kids playing basketball.
Karen was instrumental in the formation of Trebol Soccer Club. She began working with Trebol as the club registrar and volunteer coach of several teams. She is now coaching director for developmental teams and intermediate teams. Karen has a “D” license with USYSA and is also a member of CYS recreational committee.
- Alfie Hurley - Skills Trainer
Alfie is a native of West Ham, East London, England. In 2000 he founded First Touch Soccer Academy with a goal to develop players. He works with all Trebol Soccer Club competitive teams developing personal footskills and helping players gain confidence with the ball. He also works with the club’s U9 and U10 ages throughout the year.
Alfie’s background in soccer includes: London Players Association Professional Coaching Badge West Ham United Player - Premier One Coach - Director of All Star Clinics - Director of Core Soccer - Coached in England, Brazil, USA and Guatemala.

Rob Johnson - Trainer
Rob has been a part of Colorado soccer for the better part of 20 years, and he has worked with multiple clubs and schools during that time. He has an incredible wealth of experience and is sure to have a signficant impact working with a number of the girls competitive teams beginning in Spring 2008.
In addition to his work with Trebol, Rob currently is a coach with Regis' men's soccer team. Previously he coached with the University of Kentucky's and Regis' womens teams and the University of Colorado Varsity Club team. He holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma along with a United States Soccer Federation "B" License.
- Hugo Valenzuela - Trainer
Hugo has lived in Lafayette, Colorado since he was five years old. He began playing with the Trebol Soccer Club when he was 10 years old and attended Centaurus High School where he was honored as an All-State player. He attended and played at Western Nebraska Community College and later went on to play for Club Soles and Chivas Denver FC as an amateur and for Colorado Crimson FC as semi-professional.
Hugo works with several of Trebol’s competitive and developmental teams as coach and trainer. He also assists with outreach in the Latino community.
